Introductory dive with one of our amazing Instructors

Your scuba adventure includes a short educational class about how scuba works, skill practice, and a guided scuba tour. This scuba experience is called “Discover Scuba Diving.” Participating in the “Discover Scuba Diving” training provides you with the basic information needed to be safe and enjoy your first underwater adventure with a scuba instructor.

Although our Group Discover Scuba Diving experience is great, we do recommend our Private Discover Scuba Diving experience as it is ideal for first-time divers. As you will be the only students, you can relax and get comfortable scuba diving at your own pace.

If you are ready to do a “Discover Scuba Diving” tour, please select the “Get Started” button below, or you can scan the QR Code from your smart device to get started.

Important Tips and Information

  • If there is a “Yes” on any of the medical questions, this does not mean you can not dive. It does mean that you must get a doctor’s note stating clearly that you are okay to dive with this medical condition. You must review the medical questionnaire prior to reserving your tour. If you have a “Yes” on any of the questions, please let us know and we will send you a copy of the medical release form your doctor must sign to clear you for diving.
  • For men, if you are not used to diving with a mustache it is best to be clean shaven or else your mask may leak.
  • For those with long hair, it is best to tie it back with a rubber band or in a pony tail to help prevent it from getting tangled.
  • It is best to avoid eating dairy products the day before the dive as that tends to make it more difficult to equalize your ears due to the thicker mucus, which sometimes is caused, by dairy products.
  • No flying or going to an altitude over 1,000 feet for 18 hours after your dive.  This is to avoid "The Bends"
  • You can not dive with a cold, as stuffy sinus will not allow you to descend lower than 3 - 10 feet
  • We do go out rain or shine.
  • This tour has a 48 hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel 48 hours or more before the dive tour you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel within 48 hours of the dive tour you will be charged in full.

If you have any further questions, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you.

Equipment

All equipment required to scuba dive is provided. This includes high-quality masks, fins, dive boots, wetsuits, BCDs, regulators, gauges, weights, and tanks. Upon making your reservation, we will ask for your height, weight, and shoe size. Please provide fairly good estimates as this helps us bring the properly sized wetsuit and other scuba gear for you.

Clothing:

  • Wear your swimsuit under your clothes.
  • Bring a change of clothes for after the dive.
  • Bring a light jacket, such as a windbreaker or hooded jacket, just in case we get a light shower.

ID Books:

While we know most of the marine organisms we will see, we don’t know them all. We are continuously learning about new fish, invertebrates, corals, etc. all the time. Because of this, we bring our illustrated ID books to every dive so we can look up the organisms together and learn their name and more about them.

Snacks:

Plenty of healthy snacks and fresh fruits are provided. We will also have not-so-healthy, but tasty, snacks available. Juice and water will also be provided.

Sunscreen:

Sunscreen is available if you need some. We recommend marine-friendly sunscreen to prevent harmful chemicals from stressing the coral reefs. We will have marine-friendly sunscreen available for you.

Towel:

Please bring your own towel.
